ABOUT
Ange is licensed cosmetologist currently located in Charleston, SC. Originally from Ivory Coast, West Africa, Ange is fluent in French and currently working on Spanish. Her career began in the African braiding salon. In 2013, she decided to further her career and enrolled in Paul Mitchell The School. While attending Paul Mitchell, she was invited into the honors program which aided and prepared her for the next step in her career.
After graduation from Paul Mitchell, Ange’s professional career took off. She was nationally published on Vh1, BET and more. She styled a national ad campaign for Fresh Empire, ESSENCE, and Walmart’s Back to School campaign. Ange has worked on set for celebrities such as Future, Yo Gotti, Young Thug and a few castmates of Love and Hip- Hop Atlanta and New York.
After the birth of her first child, Violette, Ange decided to open a salon named Violet Rose Salon and Spa in North Charleston, SC. The salon stayed open for a few years and closed due to some unforeseen events. Shortly after, she began to get more involved with education and began her journey with Kolour Kulture. This gave Ange the opportunity to travel across the United States teaching and selling products under the leadership of Keya Neal.
In 2018, she accepted a position in New York City as a stylist. During her stay in New York, she was able to work under the leadership of some amazing stylist. Ange became more versed in multicultural hair styling. Additionally, she worked for the Brooklynettes, the official dance team for the NBA’s Brooklyn Nets. Due to Covid19, Ange relocated back to Charleston, SC, where she had the support of her family and friends.
Immediately after moving back to Charleston, Swank Beautique was born! “Swank”, meaning sitting with Ange Nancy K., came with the vision of having ladies be able to sit, relax and enjoy the experience of luxurious hairstyling. Ange is looking forward to styling beautiful women of all races and nationalities. Teaching has always been a passion of Ange. In which she is making it her mission to teach all of her techniques to heighten professionals in the hair industry.
Ange has now shifted her career focus more towards film and television. She is key hair stylist for Emmy nominated Delicious Miss Brown on Food Network. She is also a stylist on Southern Charm on Bravo as well as Baking Championship on Food Network.
